Summer Junior Camps & Advanced Junior Camp
Junior member children and visiting grandchildren ages 3-17 can participate in one of several sessions of the best summer golf camps around! For ages 4-17, each session is held from Tuesday through Friday, with class in the mornings and a 9-Hole Tournament and Family Banquet on Friday afternoon. For age 3, a special 3-session program is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday mornings during camp and the banquet on Friday evening.
Class time involves learning and developing golf skills (putting, short game, full swing, rules & etiquette) while the tournament entails teams of 6 or 7 juniors ages 4-17 playing a Scramble format with a Camp Pro on most holes to help the teams with a shot. Tiny Tots ages 4-6 meet for an hour daily and then play in the Friday tournament from closer tees. Juniors ages 7-17 meet two hours daily and then play in the Friday tournament from the 150 yard marker or forward tees on Par 3's. Teeny Tiny Tots learn a very basic and fun golf introduction with SNAG activities and games that promote golf manners, safety, basic skill and athletic movement. The Friday Family Banquet is a very special event that allows each family to celebrate their junior's accomplishments with certificates, prizes and dinner, following the shotgun near 5:00pm. Advanced Junior Camp
The Landings Club is pleased to offer a next step to the initial Junior Summer Golf Camps... the Advanced Junior Golf Camp. The Advanced Camp is designed for juniors who want to develop their game practicing and applying skills in preparation for tournament golf. The school will include video analysis on the full swing and short game, course management skills, tournament preparation and the mental game. Each student will receive a camp goody bag and instruction manual. Students may then go onto participate in the Junior Club Championship on that Friday (if they are members) or in the alternative Advanced Camp Junior Tournament Division on the same day.
To register, juniors must be 12-17 years old and able to break 60 consistently for 9 holes. They must also have completed the standard golf summer camp at The Landings Club or another similar camp at a different facility. Juniors younger than 12, who qualify, may be allowed into the camp at the discretion of camp instructors. The camp is limited to 12 eligible juniors.
